Position at a Glance
Primary Tasks
The primary responsibilities of this crew member will include: harvest and post-harvest duties, weeding, transplanting, potting up, trellising, etc. If the employee desires, there will be the option of rotating with the other employees to work at the Downtown Farmers Market on Wednesdays during market season and at CSA drop-off on Thursdays.
Qualifications
Farming experience is preferred but not required. Please note that farming is physically challenging and requires repeated bending, lifting, and standing. We do require that you are able to take care of your body and physical needs as an individual by dressing properly, hydrating, practicing good ergonomics, taking breaks as needed, and having adequate caloric intake. We also require that you are able to take care of your emotional and mental needs as individuals by communicating with David, Megan and your team, and being honest with your goals and limitations. Once the season begins, we are all in this together!

Position at a Glance
- 32 to 40 hours a week. Schedule is four 8 to 10 hour days (depending on shoulder season v peak season). This will be discussed in advance and in more detail during the interview.
- Must be available to work Monday through Thursday
- $17 per hour starting wage (+DOE, raises given throughout the season if employee demonstrates proficiency)
- Employees are allowed and encouraged to take home all farm products including vegetables, fruit, eggs, ferments, etc.
- End of year bonus to employees who work the entire duration of the season

- Must have three years of full-time work experience. Preferences given to those with experience in agriculture, the service industry, or the manual labor industry.
- Ability to commit to the entire growing season with very limited vacation time
- A very strong attention to detail - We pride ourselves on the quality and cleanliness of our produce.
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm
- Ability to safely lift 50lbs over and over
- Ability to work in the cold and in the heat
- Ability to be flexible as things change rapidly on the farm due to weather, heat, and other external factors
- Must love dogs (seriously, we have three very personable dogs)
