Description
32 to 40 hours a week. Schedule is four 8 to 10 hour days (depending on shoulder season vs. peak season), Monday through Thursday. Hour fluctuation will be discussed in advance and in more detail during the interview. The primary responsibilities of this crew member are:

Qualifications
Farming experience is preferred but not required. Please note that farming is physically challenging and requires repeated bending, lifting, and standing. We do require that you are able to take care of your body and physical needs by dressing properly, hydrating, taking breaks as needed, and having adequate caloric intake. We also require that you are able to take care of your emotional and mental needs by communicating with David, Megan, and your team, and being honest with your goals and limitations. Once the season begins, we are all in this together!

We live in a mixed generation household, therefore are very cognizant of our exposure and take Covid-19 seriously. You must be vaccinated to apply. You may be expected to wear a mask at the farmers market due to market regulations. If these requests are not in alignment with your practices, please do not apply.

Description
32 to 40 hours a week. Schedule is four 8 to 10 hour days (depending on shoulder season vs. peak season), Monday through Thursday. Hour fluctuation will be discussed in advance and in more detail during the interview. The primary responsibilities of this crew member are:
- Harvest- harvesting vegetables in a variety of methods, including using different knives, picking fruiting crops, etc.
- Post Harvest- washing, packing, upholding proper food safety procedures, upholding high standards of quality
- Weeding- hand weeding and hoeing
- Transplanting- all transplanting is done by hand on the farm, no mechanical transplanting
- Other potential duties- potting up, trellising, pruning, poultry chores, etc.
- If the employee desires, there will be the option of rotating with the other employees to work at the Downtown Bend Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoons, the Prineville Farmers Market on Saturdays, and the Thursday CSA Pick Up in the evening. These are completely optional, and are offered as an opportunity to interact with the public and see the final product of growing vegetables.
Compensation
- Starting at $15/hour+ DOE
- Employees are allowed and encouraged to take home all farm products including vegetables, fruit, eggs, ferments, etc.
- We try to pay out bonuses to all employees at the end of the season. This is not a guarantee but is dependent on the farm meeting its sales goals.
- There are opportunities for growth within the farm over the years

- Must have three years of full-time work experience. Preference is given to those having worked in the service industry or manual labor.
- Must commit to the entire growing season
- A very strong attention to detail - We pride ourselves on the quality and cleanliness of our produce.
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm
- Ability to safely lift 50lbs over and over
- Able to work in the cold and in the heat
- Punctual (Megan's biggest pet peeve is tardiness!)
